My thoughts go with you. I had a similar operation seven years ago and made a full recovery.

Hi
Just to say “good luck” I had this operation done in June and after 12 years of constant agonising pain I’m now recovering well and it’s reduced the pain. So much so I’ve already halved the painkillers I was taking and it’s only been 5 months!

Hello Mike and Anthea.
I am new to the Word Press blogging service; I just signed up for my own blogsite a few minutes ago after checking out a few of their featured blogs to see how they were designed and produced. Your blogsite was featured on the Word Press homepage, so I clicked on it to see how your site looked, and to see if the site design offered what I was looking for in a blogsite. Reading your story about your wife’s condition and all that she has had to go through, really touched me. I hope that your wife recovers soon, and I will keep your wife and your family in my prayers.
My father-in-law endured a serious car accident 4 years ago, and he has had 2 fusion surgeries done in the past 4 years. The first fusion proved to be unsuccessful, so the doctors had to repeat the process again a few months later. My father-in-law has been doing much better since the second fusion; I mean “a lot” better compared to the first. He just has to deal with the emotional effects and the limited mobility, but he’s good.
I know your wife will probably come through what she’s suffering with just fine, and although she may not be her old self or able to do things that her old self used to do, she will still be with you to love you, share your life with you, and support you emotionally and as your friend. Just put your faith in her, show her you love her, stand by her through the best and the worst, be a comfort to her when she feels down and depressed, and everything will work itself out for the both of you.
I wish you the best with recovery, and I will be checking back often to read about the progress of how she’s doing, and to offer words of encouragement and strength as I can.

Great news that the ‘halo’ has gone. We now pray that soon the ‘collar’ will go, too. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Our love to you all.
Mike: So, you have inherited our lovely curate Erica for Whitchurch. It looks a big, but interesting job. Do look after her
